Weight Loss @ Adcock Center
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), obesity is a major concern for all age groups in the United States. An adult with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25.0 to 29.9 is considered overweight and a BMI over 30.0 is considered obese. Obesity is connected with the consequences of many health conditions including: hypertension, dyslipidemia, Type 2 diabetes, Coronary Heart disease, endometrial, breast and colon cancer, sleep apnea and respiratory problems, osteoarthritis, stroke and Gallbladder disease. Is weight an issue for you? At the Adcock Center, we have a weight-loss program, directed by Cynthia Ingram, Nurse Practitioner, that can help you achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
